music always reminds me of an old friend. you may come across a song that you haven't heard in years and when you do it's as though you were never parted. it feels so familiar.
in a way, the tune itself expands on the imagination and imports you to another reality. a great method to relax and to alter/ suit your emotions.
for me, music helps me to escape wherever i may be. be it in a modern day city with it's smokey vehicles and contemporary architecture, and i can float away to an isolated beach with the mellow, comforting music.
here are a few examples of which i listen to on such days...
~ the chain - fleetwood mac
~ bob dylan - don't think twice, it's alright
~ frank ocean - godspeed
~ passenger - let her go
~ kina grannis - sweater weather
~ megan davies - see you again, love me like you do, sugar (acoustic mashup)
~ the wind and the wave - chandelier
~ ingrid michaelson - be ok (acoustic)
much love,
